Description

One of the most environmentally friendly systems is the HFC227EA Clean Agent Suppression System. By physically cooling the fire by eliminating the heat energy that interrupts the combustion cycle, it prevents the fire from being able to sustain itself. With the 227 system, UL certified HFC227ea disinfectant gas provides safe fire protection for people, property and life stock. The most challenging aspect of the use of environmentally friendly suppression agents is that they can affect the ozone layer, but the HFC227EA system is completely echo friendly and is not a depleting ozone suppression agent, although sometimes the fumes produced by fighting fires can affect the ozone layer.

Features

In tests, the acute toxicity of HFC-227EA Agent was shown to be equivalent to that of Halon 1301. HFC-227EA Agent has been evaluated for cardiac sensitization through test protocols approved by the US EPA. The EPA’s SNAP Program classifies HFC-227EA Agent as acceptable for use as a total flooding agent in occupied spaces.

HFC-227EA Agent is clean, leaves no residue, thereby eliminating costly after-fire clean-up, and keeping expensive “down-time” to a minimum. Most materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and other metals as well as plastics ,rubber and electronic components are unaffected by exposure to HFC-227EA (FM200) Agent.
